Lessons & Carols Christmas Eve Service

Join us for a special Lessons & Carols Christmas Eve service, Sunday, December 24 at 4:00pm.

The Lessons & Carols service was first held on 1918 in the Church of England as a means to create more imaginative worship. The service included nine carols and nine lessons which were read by various officers of the Church. Since then, other churches have adapted the service for their own use. Wherever the service is heard and however it is adapted the resounding theme of the service is to witness the development of the loving purposes of God seen through the windows and words of scripture. We are excited to carry forward this form of worship by hosting a service filled with music and scripture readings as we tune our hearts, anticipating the coming of Christ.

*There will be no Kids Program or Nursery Room offered for this service; there will be Children’s Worship Bags with kids’ activities available in the back of the nave.
