Moving this Sunday - Big News at Eucharist!

Dear Eucharist family,

We have much to celebrate this week! On Sunday, we will move our sanctuary across the hall for the first time for Sunday worship!

In the story of creation, we learn that God loves to open space and then fill it up with life and abundance—sky with birds; seas with fish; the heavens with sun, moon and stars; the earth with animals and people bearing His image. As part of His new creation, God is providing us with a new worship space that I am praying in faith He will fill up with the joy and abundance of His grace in Christ to us and to many people we have yet to meet. Praise God for His provision and care to Eucharist!

Notes for This Sunday

This Sunday will look a little bit different because of the move. Here are some things to expect:

  • No catechesis: We will take the hour before service to ensure that everything is set up as it needs to be. If you are able, please come and help, see the new space, and participate in…

  • Special prayer time: We will take some time before worship at 9:30 to pray and say thank you to our Father for this new space.

  • Potluck celebration: Sign up for a potluck lunch after worship!

Changes Going Forward

Part of the reason for our gratitude for this new space is that our landlord is allowing us to use it for free each Sunday. Given this huge blessing, we want to make sure you are aware of some important changes we will need everyone’s help to make going forward:

  • No food or drink (except water): The new worship space has been recently renovated, including new carpet. Our landlord has asked that we bring no food or drinks inside. To honor his generosity, we ask everyone to help us with us. Please no kids snacks or coffee (even with a lid!)

  • Fellowship Hall: Our previous worship space is where catechesis will take place, and where our new “fellowship hall” will be setup. We will have tables and chairs and refreshments here every Sunday. We hope this helps foster more connection and community!

  • Setup and tear down every week: Since we do not have a lease on the new space, we need to leave it as we found it every week. If you would like to serve on our Setup Team, please contact me! After worship, we will ask everyone to stack their chairs on the carts and help put our things away.

I am praying for all of us as we enter this new season as a church. With this provision, the Lord is keeping Hs promise to us form Philippians 4:19: “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” God is supplying our needs as a church. And I pray that through us, He will supply the needs of our neighbors in San Francisco to come to know and be reconciled to Him through Christ Jesus.

Much love,
Jeff+
