Year-End Giving at Eucharist

By Fr. Jeff Locke

As we prepare our hearts this Advent season, I want to encourage you to prayerfully consider a year-end financial gift to our church. The Lord invites us to give as we are able, “according to the blessing of the Lord your God that he has given you” (Deut. 16:17). God has been infinitely generous to us in Christ; I pray we would remember this as we give of our tithes and offerings for the sake of the ministry of His church.

The grace of generosity is already at work among us, and I am thankful for you and your response to God’s call in this way. We are currently right on target for this fiscal year (starting in July) with a balanced budget between giving and ministry expenses. At this time each year, we typically take up an Abundance Offering to support our local and global mission partners. By God’s grace, we will give over $55,000 in 2023! Praise God! My prayer is that we can increase that amount in 2024 through your generosity.

Tomorrow, November 28, is known as "Giving Tuesday"—a day to generously support organizations you care about after the spending of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. As you contemplate end-of-year tax-deductible contributions, please remember Eucharist Church. You can give online, by check, or with stock and other appreciated assets—see more information at eucharstsf.org/give. As you consider this, I pray you would remember the promise of 2 Cor. 9:11: “You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God."

Gratefully yours in Christ,
Fr. Jeff
