A Texas native, Fr. John went to Bible College in Saskatchewan, Canada, before moving to California in 2006, where he met and married Ferial (Director of Operations). Together they moved to South Korea in 2008, where they lived and worked as English teachers for four years before sensing a call toward vocational ministry and moving back to the Bay Area in 2012. The Trammells began attending Eucharist Church in the Fall of 2016; John joined the staff, as Pastoral Intern, in 2018. He was ordained as a deacon by Bishop Eric Menees in September 2020, and as a priest by Bishop Dan Scott in October 2022. Fr. John has his bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies and his Master’s Degree in Theology from Northern Seminary. He enjoys hiking, camping, music, reading, board games, and movies. He has been married to Ferial since 2007. They have a daughter, Lucy, and a cat, Lola.
